I’m considering a proper way of protecting my site from malicious attacks. I already adopted some tools, including SSL, but I don’t think they are enough to run my own server. I have looked at Cloudflare for the last few days. I don’t decide yet because it doesn’t fully support my machine. Probably, I will use it at the end, but I can’t avoid hesitating to decide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although Synology provides an excellent DSM, I should learn, for example, about Docker to set up RStudio and Shiny Server, which I managed to able to see running. Because of Docker’s ephemeral characteristics, it can’t be appropriate to run a server on Docker. But I don’t seem to have an alternative to Docker as long as I use Synology NAS. I like to learn, but it’s still not easy to study totally new things without prerequisites – I’m just googling. Anyway, since I want to have more control, I don’t use Docker Images of RStudio and Shiny Server. Rather, I chose to run them on Ubuntu Docker Image. I should keep them up-to-date and complete some configurations that a system usually supports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Someday, it’s possible that I will overhaul the machine when I find more efficient ways. But for now, I want to believe I have chosen a little better way. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
